Finnmark University College’s main role in the Barents Specialists project is to participate in the network and to contribute to the development of a model for co-operation and to the development of study modules.

It is our goals:

  • To establish contact to institutions with a high competence within the three professional sectors in the Barents region, with a view to teacher and student exchange, professional development and project co-operation.
  • That our participation will lead to outputs as curriculum, reports, publications etc.
  • To obtain experience in developing net-based study modules.
  • That this experience can be transferred to other sectors within our institutions.
  • That developed modules should be integrated in our ordinary BA and MA programs.
  • That developed modules also should be offered to Finnish, Russian and Swedish students if this is suitable for their study programs.
  • That developed modules should be offered other interested Norwegian or International students for a reasonable student fee.
